Since the K10.2 debuted, we have been fans of this powered speaker from day one. Originally thought of as a utilitarian speaker for premium sound indoors, we had started to utilize this speaker and a variety of other applications.
The biggest plus in outdoor live sound applications is the ability to delay your signal path right at the speaker level. Granted some engineers would prefer to have delay and timing control at the mix position, but for most Civic and medium-sized public events (between 10,000 to 15,000 people) the quick and dirty approach is perfect.
With that being said, if you are seriously considering the K10.2 as your next purchase (assuming you already have the capability to properly control the tone and dynamics of your sound, mix wise)... You are going to be extremely happy with the versatility of your purchase.
