As the title suggests, it is more of a conversation starter than an answer. Our friends, employees and competitors all really want to get back to what we find purpose in. Before covid-19, our industry was the champion of causes... From non for profit charities, to the displaced families of wildfires... The entertainment industry was there to put on the show and rally around a cause. It felt great because we were contributing as an industry.
...and now we find the very mechanism behind what could bring us all together... Is what continues to keep us apart. As States start to determine the best ways to re-open their economies and keep the public safe, the entertainment industry still finds itself a long way out from "reopening". It is a societal mindset which has also changed how we view public gatherings. When this all clears will we as a society think twice about large gatherings? How will the "New Normal" look 6 to 12 months down the road from this writing? These questions, along with many more, are conversations we consider daily as we read the news and evaluate the landscape of our industry. Sadly, however, when the rest of these States "reopen"... We would like to remind the public that the entertainment and hospitality industries will appear to be the last on those lists. Regardless; for the sake of society and the good of community... We all look forward to the days of group hugs and large crowds... ... but until then, we'll be here... Ready to provide the uniting pieces of what makes the moment... An experience. The very best,
All of us at 22nd Avenue
